Community dance classes for Senior Adults are a great introduction to dance and may be tailored to the needs and interest of your group.

Senior adults, if you are searching for a discounted rate for main-stage productions then Senior Dress Rehearsals are for you. Senior Adults view a fully costumed and staged dress rehearsal of select dance productions on weekday afternoons. Charlotte Ballet also offers community dance classes for people with Parkinson’s disease. Dance for Parkinson’s Disease teaching artists in Charlotte may integrate and create in an enjoyable social environment that emphasizes dancing for dancing’s sake.

Community Workshops

Workshops are a great way to get your community moving and may be tailored to the needs and interests of your group. Workshops may be held in recreation centers, libraries, churches, or any space where a community of people can gather. Book a dance workshop in your space today.

Senior Dress Rehearsal

Senior adults are invited to view a fully costumed working dress rehearsal of select dance productions on weekday afternoons at a discounted ticket price. The Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation Department partners with Charlotte Ballet to promote the program and provide transportation to and from the theater. Cost: $12/person plus tax

Dance for Parkinson’s Disease 

Dance for Parkinson’s Disease is a class designed for people with Parkinson’s and their caregivers. Partnering with the Parkinson’s Association of the Carolina and Southminster Charlotte Ballet is able to bring this community class to the Charlotte area. Classes are free of charge and are held at Southminster. Please read the flyer for registration information.
