Charlotte Ballet will hold open auditions in New York City on Sunday, February 3, 2019. Registration starts at 10 AM.

We welcome dancers to submit online applications. Submissions close February 15, 2019.

Dancers are welcome to complete the audition form prior to arriving and bring it to the audition with photos/payment.

*  Minimum height for men for the 2019/2020 season is 5’10”

Job Description

Cutter/Stitcher

Charlotte Ballet is seeking a cutter/stitcher to assist with the construction of costumes for the remainder of the 2018-19 season. Qualified candidates should be proficient in creation and/or modification of costume patterns as well as costume construction. Hours and weeks are negotiable based on several projects.

Costume Shop Overhire Pool

Charlotte Ballet is seeking qualified Cutters, Drapers, Pattern Makers, Stitchers, and Costume Crafts Specialists to join their list of overhire personnel. Overhire staff is hired on an “as-needed” by project basis. Projects may require anywhere from a few hours to several months of employment.

Teaching Artists

Charlotte Ballet is seeking talented Teaching Artists to join the Education & Community Engagement team for the 2018-2019 school year. Teaching Artists teache dance in the Park & Recreation Center for the Reach Program. Dance forms include but are not limited to ballet, modern, jazz, African, etc. Through innovative programs, dynamic performances and collaborative partnerships, Charlotte Ballet makes dance accessible to all communities and has a strong commitment to sharing the dance
