Become Part of the Ballet

If you’ve ever dreamed of being on stage like the dancers of Charlotte Ballet here’s your chance with two upcoming events that will allow you to become part of the ballet: The Ingram Project and Dance Interactive.

Dance Interactive

Join Charlotte Ballet in a choreographic showcase and interactive performance! Dance Interactive gives the audience the unique opportunity to join company dancers on stage. Experience the stage lights and music as you become part of the performance and dance with the company!

Company dancers showcasing their choreography include Juwan Alston, Raven Barkley, Chelsea Dumas, Drew Grant, Josh Hall, Sarah Hayes Harkins and James Kopecky. Dance Interactive is one night only Friday, November 18 at the Patricia McBride & Jean-Pierre Bonnefoux Center for Dance. The performance starts at 7:30 PM. Run time: one hour, no intermission.

General admission tickets are $9 in advance and $10 on the night of show.

The Ingram Project

Want your chance to be “on stage” with the company during Innovative Works? Guest artist and former company member David Ingram will be setting a work on Charlotte Ballet, but he wants more dancers! Ingram is teaching a short, choreographic phrase to participants of The Ingram Project that will then be projected on stage with the live company members!

The Ingram Project will be held at the Patricia McBride & Jean-Pierre Bonnefoux Center for Dance on Saturday, November 5 starting with a master class with Ingram at 9:30AM. From 11:30-3:00PM, anyone from age 7+ is welcome to drop in to learn simple and fun choreography that will  be filmed for the chance to be projected on stage!

You do not have to be a dancer to join, and participating is free! Find out more about The Ingram Project and register in advance!
