Advanced Division classes are appropriate for students with a significant background in ballet training. A placement class is required for enrollment in all Advanced Division classes. Youth Ballet is recommended for students ages 10-14 with little or no prior ballet experience. Students ages 14 and up who are new to ballet are encouraged to begin their dance training in the Academy’s Adult Open Division.
Classes begin August 27, 2018 and conclude with the Spring Performances, June 2, 2019. Students in this division also have the opportunity to audition to perform with Charlotte Ballet in Nutcracker.
Students in the Advanced Division are eligible to participate in the Student Ensemble 5 performing company and Pas de Deux. Members of the Student Ensembles are able to take their training outside the classroom through a variety of performance opportunities including Charlotte Ballet sponsored events and educational outreach presentations in the community.
