Patricia McBride Named Kennedy Center Honoree

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts has named Charlotte Ballet Associate Artistic Director Patricia McBride a 2014 Kennedy Center Honoree. McBride will be honored at the 37th annual national celebration of the arts along wtih singer Al Green, actor and filmmaker Tom Hanks, singer-songwriter Sting and comedienne Lily Tomlin.

McBride and her fellow honorees will be celebrated at a gala at the Kennedy Center Opera House Sunday, December 7, 2014. The Honors Gala will be broadcast on the CBS as a two-hour primetime special Tuesday, December 30 at 9:00 p.m. (ET/PT).
